CDR Masaoy served as Seaward Security
Officer for the port of Shuaiba, Kuwait, deploying with MIUWU-110 from Portland.
He was in charge of the waterside force protection mission
with service members from MIUWU-110, MIUWU "CBU"-108, and PSU 308 and 309;
units assigned to Naval Coastal Warfare
Group ONE that served in Kuwait from August 2003 to March 2004. These US Navy and US Coast Guard units provided security for the harbor with patrol boats and heavy machine gun positions. |
